"DOMESTIC VIOLENCE VICTIMS
HELP RAISE AWARENESS"
- Inside the church, people joined in song and prayer. They
listened
as people shared their life experiences and wiped tears that
threatened
to spill down their faces...They stood to protest those lives that
have
and will meet with a violent end at the hands of someone who was
supposed
to love them... Cheryl Cormier Batter
and Jeff Batter
wrote and
performed "Once Again" for the service. Cormier
Batter said it took
her only one afternoon to write the lyrics to the song, a process
that
usually takes [longer]. ["After asking the Lord in
prayer as to
what He would say to the victims of violence, it's like the words
were
downloaded into my brain. I give Him all the
credit."] [Karen] Burdacki
said the song described her experience perfectly...
"WONDERFUL"

SWEDISH NEWSPAPER!

Cheryl Cormier
certainly doesn't show any new
'concept' on "Wonderful" (Battcor Records) still,
this album is very colorful and touching, and its
colors tend to get brighter the more you
listen to these original compositions. The
most essential ingredient is, of course, her
voice, which is both powerful and soft.
You could easily imagine a great stage presence.
Cormier's passion is absolutely honest, and she
is a very talented songwriter as well.
Cheryl Cormier certainly deserves European attention.

… Listening to your album was a pleasure from
beginning to end! You have a great and warm voice, show
a good hand at songwriting, and the production is strong
and clean. If you're not a big name yet, here are some songs
that should help; they are clear indications that you will
become a major player.
… I will be playing the
following songs on my
show: I Wonder, Diamonds and Pearls, Wonderful and
the beautiful and terribly catchy Don't You Want Me Now…
… Thanks for your time, help
and support and keep
making good country music!

A quick note
to tell you how much we enjoyed having Cheryl Cormier open
for Willie Nelson last Friday evening.
Understating
the case, Willie's fans are devoted, and the sellout crowd
of 3,200 were anxious indeed to have him hit the stage.
But, Cheryl won them over on the very first song, had them
cheering after her rendition of "Cryin'", and by
the end of the set had the audience standing on their
feet.
Cheryl has a
remarkable voice and a great career ahead of her. She was
a delight to work with and we wish her continued success.

Dear Cheryl,
BRAVO! Thank you for an
outstanding performance at the 1994 Great American Music Fest on June 26th
in Goshen.
Your spirited rendition
of the National Anthem before a standing audience of over 12,000 people,
sent a chill down my spine. I also received
very positive comments on your original songs.
I know your talent, training
and enthusiasm for music will ensure your continued success. Thanks
again.
Best Regards,

Willie Nelson Concert Comfortable, Predictable
... Opening the concert was a nice turn by country singer Cheryl
Cormier and her band. She has a fine, strong voice and sang some
upbeat original material as well as a moving rendition of Roy
Orbison's plaintive lost love song "Cryin.'" |

A warm handshake and a disarming smile set the stage
for what is about to come. These tools open the door for
the young lady from New England and the innate abilities
of Cheryl Cormier take over from there. Whether it be the
plaintive renderings of a Tricia Yearwood ballad, the
exuberance of a Wynonna hit or one of her own songs,
Cheryl makes you glad you came to the party. Although
Cheryl's recordings showcase the talents of her voice, it
is when she is live on stage that one can truly appreciate
the whole package that is Cheryl Cormier.
Talent, along with a seemingly unlimited desire, will
put this new Englander on the national map and we are
fortunate to be able to enjoy this ride. I solemnly urge
you to support Cheryl and after you have experienced a
live performance, along with me, you too will have that
inexorable feeling of "I want to do that again."
