Hello everyone! We
write all of you in hope that your joy is also in Christ
Jesus! Things have been extremely busy for both of
us and we want to fill you in on a couple of things that
will be happening this summer.
First, we hope to have our
album finished before the fall and thank you all for being
patient. You can still purchase our 4 song EP which
has 2 live tracks on it that will not be included on the
album. Please contact us via this website email to
purchase.
We just returned from
beautiful Iowa where we attended a worship seminar for
worship leaders, music directors and pastors. It was
very enriching! Paul Baloche was there as well as
Jack Hayford and Leann Albrecht. The teaching was
superb and God really spoke to our hearts on different
aspects of worship. We've always said, however, and
continue to teach that worship must be a daily activity.
We can't come to Sunday worship after spending absolutely
zero time with our Lord and Savior during the week and
expect to have intimacy with Him in a church setting.
Jesus wants us all day, everyday in every way! We
hope to expand what we have learned along with what God is
and has been teaching us individually. Our desire is
to lead God's people in intimate worship as a
congregation; that we all may have a holy encounter with
the Holy One.
This summer we'll be sharing
our music at Jesus Fest in Vernon, CT. Please go to
their website, which is listed on the concert page of this
website, for more details and directions. We hope to
see some of you there this year. We will also be at
some of the coffeehouses in the area which are also listed
on this site.
On another note, New Life
Church in conjunction with Lisa Cotterman, who is the
organizer behind a group based in Canton, CT that collects
goods for our troops abroad, worked together to host a
troop rally on Saturday, May 22 at Hubbard Park in
Meriden. Despite the cold weather, people did come
out and the amount of items collected was amazing.
Meriden Mayor, Mark Benigni, Governor John Rowland, and
other state and city officials, along with many who served
in the armed forces were there to pay tribute to our
soldiers who are presently serving and who have served in
the past. These packages were recently taken to the
state armory, and from there have been sent to the troops
serving overseas. The response was overwhelming to
give. If you would like to give or want more
information on how you can help, please go to Lisa's
website at www.ctsos.org.
Whether you agree or disagree with the war, our prayers
and support must be with those who are in harms way and
fighting for freedom.
We wish you a bright and
blessed summer season and a closer walk with Him.
In Christ,
Jeff and Cheryl Batter
